Arbito LLC ("we," "us," or "our") makes Chapter & Verse: Merge Books, a cozy bookshop merge game, and runs the server it talks to (together, the "Game"). The Game is free. It has no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no ads, no analytics, and no crash-reporting service. It has no chat, no friends list, and no public profiles.
This policy explains what the Game collects, why, and how to delete it. When you sign in, you use your Arbito account, which is covered by the Arbito Account Privacy Policy.
Guest play lets you play without an account. As a guest, your shop is saved only on your device and we receive nothing about you. Signing in later adds cloud save and Bookmarks.
When you sign in, the Game copies these details from your Arbito account: your Arbito user ID, email address, username, and avatar image link. Your avatar and username appear only on your own screen. The Game asks your Arbito account for permission to read your profile and your points balance.
When you are signed in, your game is saved to our server so you can pick it up on another device. The save contains game progress only: your board and books, orders, Coins, experience, upgrades, décor, shelves (including any shelf names you type), Catalogue entries, badges, and milestones. It does not contain your name or email.
Bookmarks and Coins cannot be bought, sold, cashed out, or sent to another player. They have no monetary value and are not cryptocurrency.
The Game does not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone, health data, or advertising identifiers, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. The weather in your shop comes from the date, not your location. Our server logs record technical details of each request, such as IP address, and are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it. No other player can see your data.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to a successor if the business is transferred, under this policy.
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Sign-in uses short-lived, signed tokens issued by your Arbito account, kept in secure storage on your device. No method is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive it in a portable format.

The Game is for people 13 and older; an Arbito account requires you to confirm you are at least 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email support@arbito.co and we will delete it.
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process your information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you in the Game.
